On behalf of the Coalition for App Fairness, ClearPath Strategies conducted a survey of 190 app developers on their sentiments about the passage of targeted legislation aimed at prohibiting anti-competitive or self-preferencing practices in the App Store and other dominant platforms, like the Open App Markets Act (OAMA). Nearly 90% of app developers surveyed were in favor of OAMA and believe it would create more competition and innovative growth. Senator Amy Klobuchar tweeted in agreement that “big tech companies shouldn’t be able to stifle innovation and competition,” citing The Hill’s coverage of ClearPath’s research.
