On behalf of Solo.io, ClearPath Strategies conducted a survey of 704 executives, managers, and practitioners to learn more about their use of microservices, service mesh, Kubernetes, and other related technologies.
Application architecture Is evolving.
We found that there is a microservices explosion. Fully 85% of companies say they are modernizing their apps to a microservices architecture.
Kubernetes has crossed the chasm. Just under two-thirds of companies are using Kubernetes in production (53%), and Kubernetes satisfaction is nearly universal (94%).
We found that companies are turning to service mesh as an answer—with 49% currently using a service mesh to some degree, and a further 38% evaluating it. Leading companies are likelier to use a service mesh.
